During the first month of 2013, “Port Vysotsky” stevedoring company has
transferred over 395 358, 754 metric tons of Russian coal, exceeding January 2012
turnover by 56 percent.
In December 2012, Port Vysotsky” stevedoring company transferred 319 823,906 tons of export coal. The total amount of coal transferred in 2012 was 3 295 727,233 tons. Compared with 2011, cargo turnover increased by 2,9 %.
In September 2012, “Port Vysotsky” stevedoring company transferred 302 637.820 tons of Russian coal. In the period between January and September of the current year, the turnover came up to 2118 206.804 tons.
In August 2012, “Port Vysotsky” stevedoring company transferred 296 329.675 tons of Russian coal. In the period between January and August of the current year, the turnover came up to 1815,568.984 tons.
The Panamax-type “GOLDEN SPRING” bulk carrier with a displacement of 83,730 tons arrived in Vysotsk on August 19th, at 8:30 PM. Cargo operations began the same day. Loading was by five gantries. August 21, 58,654 tons of coal was transferred with a draft at the berths of the port. From August 22nd to August 24th another 16,598 tons were transferred from a shuttle-ship, while at anchor.
The total duration of loading was four days and 10 hours. At 8:30 PM, on August 24th the “GOLDEN SPRING” went to the port of destination, Immingham (UK).
on August 19th, a vessel of more than 80 thousand tons has moored at the quays of the coal terminal at Vysotsk for the first time.
The vessel that arrived in Vysotsk is the “GOLDEN SPRING” bulk carrier (Panamax-type, homeport – Panamá), has the following parameters: deadweight – 83,730 tons, length – 229 m, width – 32 m, draft at full load – 13.9 m.
“Port Vysotsky” stevedoring company will need to transfer 76,000 tons of XK “SDS-Coal” power-generating Kuzbass coal, designated for Immingham (UK). Loading of the bulk carrier will be made in two stages: 59,700 tons of coal will be loaded at berths; the remaining 16,300 tons will be transferred from a shuttle-ship, while at anchor off Hogland island.
In June 2012, “Port Vysotsky” stevedoring company transferred 233 891.389 tons of Russian coal. . In the period between January and June of the current year, the turnover came up to 1 283 767.578 tons, which is 19.8% lower than the same period of 2011.
“Port Vysotsky” has commissioned a new-generation handling machine – Mantsinen 120R. This is the fifth Finnish hydraulic crane purchased, currently used for unloading wagons. Another machine in the same class will arrive in Vysotsk in late May.
According to Vadim Pavlov, “Port Vysotsky” General Director, this technique has very well established itself, not only due to high performance and maneuverability, but also because its operation reduces the percentage of damage to transport cars to a minimum. Currently, all coal unloading in Vysotsk is done by such devices.
In December 2011, Port Vysotsky” stevedoring company transferred 263 345.101 tons of export coal. The total amount of coal transferred in 2011 was 3201 750.900 tons. Compared with 2010, cargo turnover increased by 39%.
